The camp sits just outside the main reserve, on its east side. It is a short walk from the Siana Conservancy boundary. Sekenani Gate is about 7 km away. That is roughly a 17 to 20 minute drive. Ololaimutiek Gate is around 9 km away.
Sekenani is one of the most convenient entry points to the Mara. Therefore, you can start early morning game drives without a long transfer.
If you fly in, the closest airstrip commonly listed is Keekorok. It is around 36 minutes' drive away. Other airstrips, such as Olare and Olkiombo, are further. When we plan your trip, we confirm the best airstrip and transfer for you.
Rooms are canvas tents on polished wooden floors. Each has comfortable beds, an en-suite bathroom, a safe and a seating area. There is also a private veranda. Single, double and triple options are available. This means the camp works for couples, friends and small families. Guests also mention bathrobes and four-poster beds.
Because the tents are canvas, you can hear the bush at night. That is a big part of the charm. From your veranda, you look out over the bushland, the hills and the Siana Conservancy.
The Siana Conservancy next door is a major plus. Conservancies in the Mara usually have fewer vehicles than the main reserve. Some also allow walking safaris and night drives. Each conservancy sets its own rules, so ask us what is available during your visit.

The Masai Mara is a year-round destination. Many travellers visit from July to October, when the Great Wildebeest Migration is typically in the Mara. The green months are quieter. They also offer lush scenery and better value. However, weather and animal movements change each year. Ask us for current advice for your dates.
Rates depend on the season and the room type. They also depend on whether meals and activities are included. Booking sites list very different figures. For an accurate price, request a quote with your dates and group size. We will then build a full package with transfers, park fees and activities.
Many guests stay two to three nights in the Mara. Then they add Lake Nakuru, Amboseli or the Kenyan coast. Explore our Kenya safari packages or plan your safari. We will design the route around you.
